April Lockhart
April Lockhart was born on July 4 1995 When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing the guitar as well as taking piano lessons, sparking her passion for music writing. at the age of 12, April composed her first single Different. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing lyrics and perfecting her music skills. Then she began to take trips to write with father, who lived in NY as well as LA. April also began to include additional topics that were related to of her friends dealing with such things as bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs"Take" my Hand. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer, as well as working in partnerships with clean beauty brands Ilia, has built a large fan base. Since she was born without a left hand, Lockhart has a significant part to play in her. It's however not the entire tale. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap on Instagram, but she does not make it the main focus of the post. The point? It is important to remember that each of us has multiple faces. Our identities are diverse and we're much more than our bodies. Lockhart states in the video Lockhart in a video interview "I do not believe that disability should define me. It's not my intention to have an impact on disability because I have plenty to offer." The fact that she is a disability influencer doesn't impact my life. All is well and I have learned to adapt. The same is true for my life, and I think it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart is a true inspiration in this regard. However, she admits to going through phases of insecurity with her body, and also feeling uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which showed her arms. She is able to wear anything she likes, and happily shares pictures of her dressed in her favorite outfits. It's all a process is the most important thing. I don't know that you ever arrive she says of self-love. That's true of everyone regardless of the level of insecurity. People you associate yourself with who truly know you, and can see into your heart are the best people who can remind you of the things you're worrying about.
