Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou in Beaumont Puy De Domme in France was born the 9th August, 1976. Audrey was the elder child of four. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist and teacher, were aware of and encouraged their daughter's love for drama and theater at an early stage. Their support was enough to overcome her original desire to become the first primatologist. At the age of a young lady, her rise to stardom was quick and accompanied by early success. In 1998 after her studies, she was a participant in a French talent-scouting TV programme Jeunes Premiers which was sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors before beginning acting professionally. Though she was a student at The Institut Catholique de Paris and went to church as a child, Tautou has distanced herself from the Catholic tradition, saying she's not Catholic. Her acting and modelling careers have been interspersed. Her image was the mainstay for L'Oreal Mont Blanc Chanel, and is known as the Chanel Muse. Additionally, she is a keen passion for photography. She recently presented an exhibit of her work at the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. She focuses her photography on celebrities, fame and the press that scrutinised her following her emergence on the scene in the film Amelie. Additionally, there are a number of photographs featuring herself. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big part in the film Le Fabuleux of Amelie Poulain. Amelie was a the box office and was recognized at award ceremonies across the globe. Amelie is the most successful french-language film to hit the US. Following this success Tautou starred in a wide range of film productions ranging from British dramatics like Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things to Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday de fiancailles and moving into Hollywood through Ron Howard's direction of The Da Vinci Code, a Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code together with Tom Hanks.
